POEMS ON THE MRT
A WEB ANTHOLOGY OF MRT STATION POETRY, WRITTEN IN 24 HOURS

Join us for SingPoOnTheMRT, 4th June, 2pm at Pasir Ris Station!

Write a poem every day, for 30 days. That's the core challenge of SingPoWriMo, a rapidly-growing Facebook group that gathers the wildest, the zaniest, and the most masochistic Singapore poets to surmount 30 mind-boggling prompts by a team of sadistic moderators that includes published poets like Alvin Pang, Pooja Nansi, and Joshua Ip.

On Day 24 of SingPoWriMo 2016, Joshua Ip posted the Last Train Prompt: a prompt that challenged poets all over Singapore to write poems about their chosen MRT station. This interactive MRT map (powered by Thinglink) is the 24-hour result of these enthusiastic, rioting bards.

Use the tab above to view the interactive MRT map. Click on the Facebook links on each station and take a ride through these wonderful poems. There's no yellow line stopping you here.
